Camp Geiger Reenactment

The members of the Union Volunteers, one of the several still active Umbrella groups in Civil War reenacting, invested considerable time and labor in construction of a series of trenches and battlements in the woods of the Whitehall Parkway north of Allentown, Pa. They invited a variety of reenactment units to participate in a two day series of battles. The 69th Pa signed up for inclusion and sent a battle group to participate. Union and Confederate troops fired from behind breastworks, picket lines and head logs in a series of engagements.
