Bridesburg Memorial Day Parade, Philadelphia PA
May 30, 2022

Another hot and humid day greeted 16 members of the 69th Pa as they gathered to march in the Bridesburg, Philadelphia Memorial Day Parade. The Bridesburg Parade, which is the oldest Memorial Parade in Philadelphia, brings forth thousands of locals to line the sidewalks with beach chairs and American flags.

The crowds each year cheer as the 69th marches by firing volley after volley of muskets. String Bands and Bag Pipers and music floats entertained the crowds on this very special Day as we all honored those who lost their lives fighting in America’s Wars since the Civil War 1861 to 1865.

The Bridesburg parade is the oldest Memorial Day parade held in the Philadelphia area starting in 1945 at the end of World War II
